Prayers for Kairi

We just want the Abbott family to know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We are hoping Kairi keeps showing improvements each day - she is a tough little girl and will fight her way through this. We thank you for the updates on your blog and everyone will keep praying for Kairi!

At this time, I'm so thankful for all that I've been blessed with in my life. I'm thankful for my 2 amazing children that I have in my life. They are my strength and they brighten each and every day for me. I'm thankful for my family, they are the BeSt! I'm thankful for the gospel and the plan of salvation. I don't thank my Heavenly Father enough for all my many blessings - ThAnK yOu!

Independent and adventurous. You don't want much; just to break out of the guilded cage society has put you in and experience life to the fullest. Following orders isn't really one of your strong points, and you would rather live a life of poverty than being forced into something that you hate.

A Movie Under the Stars

Auntie Kirst*Brooklin

Brooklin eating her slushie, very much into the movie!

Brooklin*Sam (future husband and wife*according to B they are already married in the temple!)

Last night Chrissy and her boys, a couple of their friends, Brooklin and I headed to St. George for some Friday night FUN! We started at the Pizza Factory for dinner, it was so YUMMY. Kirstin met us there to join us with 5 kiddos, we must have been crazy! Anyhow, on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month St. George City has a movie in the park. We took our chairs and blankets and laid on the grass to watch SANDLOT! It was great fun and Brooklin was so into it. We left our hubby's home (not by choice, it was too hot for them) we left Ava and Mason home with them. I'm sure they were thinking we'd take all the kids - yeah right! By the time the movie got over and headed home all the kids fell asleep and we had peace a quiet! Thanks Chrissy for a FUN Friday night!!!

Memory Lane...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see what memories people leave about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I sUrVivEd 1 day & night at CaMp!

I survived a day at girls camp and I'm beat! I don't think I could've lasted the whole week if they stayed up that late each night. I must be getting very old! Anyhow, a few of us left Friday morning at 7 and we got there at 9 so we were ready to go and have fun! Luckily for us it rained and the events got pushed back a day so we were able to enjoy all the activities. Shooting which I'm not very good but I hit 2 in the black, the ZiPLinE was a blast even though the brake man forgot to break. I honestly thought I was going to hit a tree (the pic isn't very good). We saved the best for last... this waterslide was AWESOME, it ROCKED! First I started out not wanting to get my top wet because I only brought one bra but that changed quite quickly when I found out going head first was the ONLY way to go! Mary and I volunteered to stay with both groups because we just couldn't get enough of that darn waterslide. It totally made it worth the trip! I am so bruised and sore from riding this thing - I can't show you the bruises but I'm black and blue on my tail bone, hips, and forearms! Then we had our turn to shower but didn't plan on showering so that made it a little difficult to dry off with NO towel. Luckily I had a golf towel in my bag (Thanks Travis from a few Christmas' ago) - it was quite the site but I was covered in mud and had to get clean! We had a great dutch oven dinner and Mormon Battalion program and followed up with our testimony meeting. Then the fun began up again -- President Hafen and Judge Dodd better watch out! Water fights, wandering around that stinkin' mountain with buckets of water... let's just say I didn't get much sleep but we had a great time!
So THANKS girls for a great day at CaMp - you wore me out! I'm gearing up for next year!

FoR wAlKiNg and for Mason to enjoy! He loves any shoe he can get on his foot - he can even put his crocs on by himself!

When the SUN goes down...

It's Time to pLaY!

Almost every night we are outside so the kids can ride the 4 wheeler. They love it and Brooklin thinks she is quite the pro, using the fast speed most of the time! Mason just likes to sit on it and it's a bonus when Brooklin takes him for rides! This has become our nightly activity!

4th of July Fun!

We had quite the lazy morning but it was so nice to just hang out in our jammies! After Mason woke up from his morning nap we grabbed some lunch and went to Grandma's house to see what they were doing (just eating breakfast)! Anyhow, the kids and I along with Kirstin went to the rec. center for some swimming fun! We swam for a little bit and then we headed to the sLiPPiN' sLiDe! The kids LOVED it, we started throwing them down on their tummies and Mason couldn't get enough of it! He would just lay in the water or try drinking it when he would stop sliding. We stayed at the rec. center for about 2 hours and decided it was time for NAPS!
Nick has been working so hard this week, his boss is in Canada for 2 weeks and the other guy that helps him broke his ankle and had surgery. Basically the kids haven't seen their dad all week so going to the rec center was a bonus for them!

Our Famous Grandpa Gene

Last night on ESPN Classic they were showing old boxing matches and it just happened to be Gene Fullmer vs. Carmen Basilio for the NBA Middle Weight Title. Anyhow, I told Brooklin to come see who was on tv and I told her that was Grandpa Gene when he was younger. She was hilarious -- she was cheering and really getting into the whole boxing/punching thing. She kept saying, "That's my Grandpa Gene punching that guy."
It is kind of surreal that he was this famous boxer years ago. It's a lot of fun to go into a resturaunt with him and just look at everyone else point and say "that's Gene Fullmer." It's pretty cool to know that's your grandpa!!!
We love you Grandpa and we're so proud of all your accomplishments! You are such a wonderful example of a hardworker, kind, giving, thoughtful, person whom we love so very much.
