My most precious gifts of all...

What mor could you ask for if you opened up this darling package??? I just love these two kiddos so very much. They are my whole world -- everyday they are coming up with something new to make me so proud to be their mommy! Brooklin is so much like me and we butt heads on occasion but nothing can keep me mad at her when she says "sorry mommy" and looks at me with those beautiful blue eyes. My little Mason just has to look at me and give me that cheesey grin and it just melts my heart. I'm so blessed to have these sweet spirits in my life and they are such a joy in our home! I love you with all my heart, Brooklin and Mason!!!

There's no place like Home

Brooklin is hooked on the Wizard of Oz and she even has some red Dorothy shoes. Anyhow, her new thing is to close her eyes and say "There's no place, there's no place" (she seems to leave out the part "like home"). It's the funniest thing ever... she's always thanking me for buying her red slippers too!

Quick Trip

We had quick trip up to Salt Lake to watch Kasey play basketball. We were lucky enough to have it snow on us -- Brooklin loved it! She had a blast and was able to build her first snowman. Mason looked so cute all bundled up and he loved eating the snow! WE can't wait to go back up in a couple weeks to play some more and go ice skating!!!

I want Pink Skates!!!

My sweet little Brooklin is a crack up! For the last 2 months, everytime someone asks her what she wants for Christmas... it's Skates. It started off as ice skates, then it went to skates, and now it's pink skates! That's all she ever says too... I think it's a hoot!
We are getting very excited for Christmas and all the parties we have going on. We get to go ice skating for the Winters' Party. I hope everyone is all decorated and getting their shopping done! I'm getting there....

Polar Express

I have always wanted to take Brooklin on the Heber Creeper, this year we decided to do the Polar Express! Brooklin and Mason had a great time: eating cookies, sipping hot chocolate, dancing with the elves, meeting Mrs. Claus and Santa himself and reading the book! It was a bit chilly waiting for the train but we bundled up the best we could. The kids looked so dang cute!!! They even wore they're Christmas eve Santa jammies and slippers!!! We had a great weekend being with our little family!

Thanksgiving --- YUMMY!

We had a wonderful weekend -- we headed up north to South Jordan. We ate dinner at Teri and Joe's house and had some yummy food! I attempted to make my first banana cream pie and it even tasted delicious!!!
I had to keep the tradition alive by myself this year -- getting up Friday morning to hit the big sales! I was at Mervyn's by 4:15am (that's 3:15 Nevada time)... I got some cute stuff for the kids. My main focus this year was for myself -- I was after the cricut (scrapbooking machine) -- I stood in line at Robert's for 1 hour and 15 minutes, I was #5 in line... it was so exciting!!! I really wasn't after anything special but I managed to spend a lot of money!

Auntie Kirst

This past weekend I took the kids and headed up to Cedar City to stay with Kirstin! We had a great weekend, although we didn't get much rest. It was nice to just get away for a day -- the leaves were awesome in the backyard and I thought I'd get some cute pics for christmas cards. Well, Mason did a great job and Brooklin was in a mood... Brooklin had fun making pinecone turkeys with Grandma and then we had to make her an indian hat!!!

Halloween

We had a great time this year -- Brooklin was so into the trick or treating! We had a party Saturday night and Nick was all into the "pimpin thing" and I don't know how I got talked into being his hooker! Quite embarrassing and I don't know if I'll ever go to another party (just kiddin).
On Halloween we went trunk or treating and then headed to Grandma's house... Mason was quite the sport - everytime we got in the car he'd fall asleep and then we'd get him out. Brooklin made a cute Nemo and Mason was the perfect Squirt!
I love this website Smilebox (thanks Ang) -- I hope you don't get sick of the cute little scrapbooks - it's a cute way to show off your pics!

Corn Maze

Yesterday we went to the corn maze and had a wonderful family outing. We went with Shaners, Potters, and Hansens.. it was fun to watch the kiddos. We went through a petting zoo, the kids rode a cow train, went down slides and rode a tractor to the maze and the pumpkin patch. Brooklin picked out 2 pumpkins and they were both green -- out of all the pumpkins to choose from.
Mason is 7 months old today -- we discovered he loves mashed potatoes. Thanksgiving should be fun! He his scooting himself everywhere and starting to explore into everything if he can reach it. He is such a little man but he's so good! We love him so much and are so blessed to have him in our home. Brooklin just loves being the little mother to him. One of these days, he'll be beating her up.

Coke and Peanut M&M's

There's nothing better than a nice cold Coke and peanut M&M's to make you feel better. We are trying to sale our house and we're having a tour tomorrow--so it needs to be cleaned real bad! I have a lot to do before 8:30 tomorrow morning! We like our little home but we thought we should try getting into something a little bigger while we can.
Anyhow, I best be getting to work -- the kids are down for a nap and I have no excuse to not clean!

Go Bears!!

Nick is a Chicago Bears fan and Brooklin got her jersey last year (from Joe). I found Mason's at good ole Walmart. I think they look so cute..
Anyhow, not much has gone on. I'm celebrating my 10 year class reunion. I can't believe it's been a decade. The families sat together at the ballgame and it was so nice to see everyone. We are having a dinner for the adults at Hafen's Ranch tonight.
We are getting ready for Halloween and just got done making our cards. I will have to post a pic because they turned out cute. (I saw these on another blog and had to copy them)!
I'm so thankful that I'm able to be a mom to these 2 great kids. I love them to death and they make me so happy. I can be in a bad mood and Brooklin will come and say the funniest thing or want to give me a hug and I can't help but smile and be happy. Mason is starting to scoot around and I love it when I'm in the other room and he starts scooting for me and he's starting t reach for me when I get home. I don't think Nick enjoys him being a momma's boy - he thinks I'm making him a softy! I love this time of year and it seems like a time for reflecting and what we are thankful for.
