the viewing

This week is still a blur to me!
Grandma had wanted a Fri night viewing and
a Saturday funeral but it didn't work out that way.
One of Troy's daughters were getting married
Saturday and we didn't want to have an entire
family missing, plus one of our musical numbers.
So we moved the viewing to Sunday night and the
funeral on Monday! It ended up being the perfect
send off for a very special man!
A lot of preparation and thought went into
the viewing and funeral by so many people!!
Marianne was able to come down on Thursday,
Quinn got into town Sunday right in time for the
viewing and all of us headed up early Friday!
Kirstin and I were seriously non stop from the time
we got up until at least midnight each night. It
seemed like we kept finding things that needed to
be done! I was exhausted!!
Seeing Grandpa for the first time was very emotional
for me - I had hoped all week that he looked like
Grandpa and he did! He looked so peaceful and just
like he was taking a nap with a little almost grin on his face.
The displays turned out awesome and we had 2 dvd's
playing, his 80th birthday and a Fullmer Brothers Boxing.
Thanks to all the friends, old neighbors, and family
that came to support us and show your love!
We had so many compliments and it just turned
out perfectly!

the kids wore their cowboy get up in honor of gramps!

the insert on the casket

bellows - just love them!

This is the sweater he earned from Marv Jenson
when he first joined his gym. He had to promise to
train hard, keep the word of wisdom and I'm sure
there were other rules to follow to earn this prized
possession to the boxers of Marv's gym!

"Uncle" Troy was a huge hit with the kiddos!

pretty much sums up how we were feeling by this time!!!
