2010 flood...

Well the 100 year flood came 95 years too soon! We got hit in 2005 and just days before Christmas we got hit again. There was so much water but not as much damage to homes as last time. The city workers and volunteers came out in full force to sand bag and do whatever was needed to help. It could've been much worse if the dykes/levis didn't hold but they did!
I didn't get too nervous about our house but we did have water coming up our street. Brooklin was in hysterics and was so afraid our house was going to get flooded. She was such a sweetheart and very concerned with everything going on. Her and Mason ended up at grandma's while Nick and I were out and about helping. We did have to pump out our backyard because we had so much water back there. I was more concerned about water coming in the back door rather than anything in the front yard.
It still smells like mud and there is still a lot of cleanup to be done. The ball fields by our house one field is still completely covered in mud. So crazy...
