conquered the Subway hike!!!!!

This hike was pretty much AMAZING!!! 

Kasey had applied for a permit 3 months ago

so we had time to prepare, whatever that means!

I think I spent more getting ready for this hike between

buying new sandals, shorts, and a camel bak but it

was well worth it! The day had come July 29th

and 9 of us ended up going - Kasey, Meridee,

and 4 of their friends Jaelle, Brittney, Jeanie and Blake

along with Mary and Patti!!! We left 2 cars at the bottom

and headed to the top. After researching and reading about

other peoples experience we knew it would take between 6-10

hours and we came in at 7 1/2 hours. I think it was right around

12-13 miles and tons of fun!!! We had to climb, repel, swim,

jump and we saw some beautiful country! 

I was a little nervous about the cold water, after the first

smelly section we had to swim thru the water was clear

and quite refreshing! We had no major injuries just a few 

blisters and bum knees... I'm so excited to do this adventure again!
