moab adventures - day 3

7.4.15
Happy Independence Day!!!
What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than
waking up at 4am to hike up to Delicate Arch to watch
the sunrise with some of your favorite people????
My dad, Kirstin, Mason and myself may have
been a little nuts but we wanted to beat the heat
and I wanted to watch the sunrise....
Although it stormed every night, all night so
it was overcast in the morning but it was still
worth it and so beautiful!

After Delicate Arch we headed to Landscape Arch,
the Windows, and Balancing Rock. It was starting to warm up so I'm happy
we started bright and early!!!

While we were hiking Nick, B and Grandma hit the
viewpoint for Delicate Arch and went to Windows to
walk around and check out the scenery! They headed back
to go on a rzr ride Chicken Corners, they said it was awesome!

We headed back to wait for everyone else, thinking we'd crash
since we got up so early but that wasn't the case... So Kirst, Mason
and I headed out to the movie museum on Highway 128. It had
memorabilia from all the movies that had been filmed in Moab!

When you wake up at 4am you get a lot accomplished in a day
so by afternoon after everyone had made it back from their various
activities we headed to the pool!

After swimming we got ready in our red, white
and blue attire and headed to dinner at the
Moab Brewery! Everyone was so tired after dinner,
we did a quick trip down Main St. to get last minute souvenirs
and headed home to go to bed. We didn't even watch fireworks
but we had a cool lightening storm to watch!
