San Fran BaBy!!!

We were able to head to San Francisco

Dec 7-10 so Brooklin could compete in the

punt, pass and kick regionals. We decided to

go a couple days early so we could be tourists

and we stayed a day later in case we didn't fit

everything in :)

The weather was perfect and we got by with 

only needing our jackets - Nick made fun of

me for packing our winter coats but it's 

always cold and windy there!!!

It was the kids first time flying and

I think they were more excited to fly 

than anything! The flight crew were

so friendly when we got on board.

They even let the kids meet the captain

and sit in the cock pit with his hat on!

They announced their names a couple 

times durning the flight and they'd just

giggle thinking it was pretty awesome!

We got there around 11:30am on Friday, we got

our car and headed to the motel. We stayed

close to Fisherman's Wharf, not the nicest place

but it worked perfectly. We weren't able to check

in quite yet so we headed out on foot to find

a place for lunch and check out the city!

We ate at Barney's a gourmet burger place

which was fabulous!!! We sat out on the 

patio and had a wonderful lunch.

After checking in we headed to the Golden Gate Bridge.

The kids were disappointed it wasn't gold and

they really weren't that impressed. We walked

across a little ways and then headed down to 

Fort Point which was beneath the bridge.

The fort was awesome and we enjoyed looking

at everything. When we got up on top, we noticed

a bunch of coast guard boats and jet skiis out

 in the water - then we heard ambulances and

fire trucks heading our way. Come to find

out, someone had jumped off the bridge!

What?!?!?! Craziness... We took off

so we didn't witness any body getting rescued 

out of the water.

We started back for our motel but 

stopped at the Palace of Fine Arts.

It was awesome and enjoyed walking around!

We finally made our way back to the motel

and headed out for some dinner. We noticed

a yummy pizza place earlier so that's where

we went, Delarosa! It was so tasty, fresh 

mozarella cheese - we loved it.

Then we stopped for gelato on the way

back to call it a night!

*I'm going to do this trip in days so I don't overload!!!
