A day at the Oasis

My mom had 2 nights at the Oasis here in town so last night she let Brooklin stay the night with her (actually I think B was the only one who volunteered - the rest of us wanted our own beds)! So Brooklin stayed over night, rode the go carts with Grandma and went swimming. I took Mason down this morning before I headed into work and they walked to McDonald's for breakfast and then went swimming! After work I went over for a swim and then we came home. Brooklin wanted to stay over again but no luck on that one!
She was hilarious when we first got in the room, she was looking at everything and pointed and said, "That's a cute ______!" She was a big girl because she could use the key to open the room door and into the pool.
We had a great day Grandma - thanks for sharing the fun!!!

I made it to 100 and I have the BEST babysitter!

This is my 100th post - I didn't think this day would ever come when I first started!
Anyhow this post is a big shout out for the BeSt BaBySiTTeR in the WoRlD! My kids are super lucky to have KriStA come over to OuR house and watch them 3 days a week while I go to work. She is so awesome and LoVes the kiddos so much. She is so good with them and I don't have to worry about them while I'm away, which makes it easier to be away from them.
We love you Krista and we're so lucky to have you! You can't ever find a real job!!! Sorry Mike, we have to keep her around...

Tuesday Afternoon Fun

I didn't have to work today - yeah! My mom and I took the kids out for lunch and when we got home we decided to have some fun. The kids love the water so we put the swimming pool at the bottom of the slide and they had a blast! Brooklin couldn't get enough of that slide and Mason was just Mason.. wonders around and checks everything out. I found these masks for them to wear, obviously they are too big but I think they look great! We had a fabulous afternoon and they both had an afternoon nap which is bonus!!!

My 2 LiTTle PrInCeSsEs..

Mason continues to have his shoe fetish, it doesn't matter whose shoes! He absolutely LOVES Brooklin's princess shoes and Nick gets so mad when I let him run around in them. Well I get back from my presidency meeting on Sunday and look what I come home too - how precious huh?

Happy Birthday Mom & Grandma!

So this post is a few days late - My mom's birthday was on July 30th and she planned her own party. She got tickets for the Sound of Music at the Tuachan and we ate dinner at Red Lobster. Nick volunteered to stay home with Mason and Kasey had to work so they missed out on all the fun. The Sound of Music was good, Brooklin enjoyed it and everytime the lights would dim she'd say, "Is there another show?"
Happy Birthday MOM! Thanks for planning such a fun night, we need to take you out for ice cream - we didn't even eat dessert that night!
Thanks for being such a wonderful mom and grandma. We love you so much and don't know what we'd do without you in our lives. You are always so willing to watch the kids and help out when we need it and the kiddos LOVE coming over to your house. You are a great example of what a mother should be: kind, giving, willing to serve, loving, fun, always up for a good time. Happy Birthday!!!

We finally went CAMPING! Brooklin has been begging my dad to go camping and we headed to cooler weather over the weekend. We stayed at Yankee Meadows (just out of Parowan) and it was beautiful. My mom and dad took Brooklin with them on Thurs. night and Kasey, Meridee, Jackson, Mason and myself went up Friday evening. We went up to the resevoir so Brooklin and Mason could fish (with no bait or hook)! Brooklin got really good at casting her own princess line! Mason was just happy to be out there getting dirty!
Saturday we went 4 wheelin a bit and played in the stream which was freezing. Kasey got a ticket for having Mason on the 4 wheeler without a helmet (what a bad mom I am - no helmet). We headed for home around 3 since we were banned from the 4 wheelers!
It was so nice to just be away and out of the heat. It was so peaceful and somewhat relaxing - not with 2 kids to chase around. Thanks mom and dad for going camping - we had a wonderful time!!!
