santa made it to our house...

I think Santa's sleigh broke down at the Montoya's this year and had to leave all the toys here! Goodness, we got spoiled this year. The kids woke up about 8, Mason just wanted to sleep.. we had to pry him out of bed!

*Mason got his batman house & up which he was asking for along with a new scooter, a leapster, clothes, books and aunt Teri got him a cool remote control dinosaur*

* Brooklin got her ds she forgot to put on her list, another 3 muskateer barbie, tinkerbell movie, clothes, books, a scooter and a few ds games from aunt Teri*

*everyone gaming*

* After breakfast (which we had a housefull - both sides of our family came over) the kids went to the backyard and discovered that Santa had left a trampoline!!!*

Nick got a gps, a pistol safe, clothes and shoes. I got spoiled this year! I got a necklace, bracelet, gift cards to a couple places, a glue gun and a computer chair.

Happy Christmas Eve

We did dinner at my parents house.. yummy clam chowder (minus the clams in mine), stuffed mushrooms, ham, veggies, slush, way too much food!!! After dinner we made our way down stairs to open presents. Everyone got spoiled as usual - the big hit of the night for the kids was Mason got a helicopter and a punching bag. Brooklin got little pet shops and one of the 3 muskateer barbies. My parents gave us a deep freeze to go in our garage, which we are very grateful for and will be put to good use!

After we got home, the kids sprinkled food on the lawn for Rudolph and got Santa's cookies ready along with an orange and Coke! We opened our Christmas Eve jammies and everyone went to bed so Santa could come and visit...

My little monsters are growing up so fast! Not much has been going on with us, just enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having! Brooklin and Mason love being outside so that's where we spend a lot of our time...

*You'll SHOOT your EYE out*

My dad came home with a present for the kiddos the weekend he moved Kasey up to Tremonton... Brooklin was sooooo excited and can't wait to go camping so she can shoot her PINK bb/pellet gun!
Be careful B, you'll shoot your eye out :)

Mason couldn't be left out but his just makes noise! They keep their guns in grandpa's safe so we don't have any accidents!!!

~Hogle Zoo~

Saturday we babysat Jackson while Kasey and Meridee went to a wedding. Cole had a soccer game in the morning so we headed over to cheer him on... he even scored a goal! Holly took Brooklin with her so the kids could play together for most of the day. I attempted to hit a store with Mason and Jackson - BIG mistake!!! I got half way through the store and decided a might pull my hair out if I try to conquer the entire store, so we went back to gma's for lunch and a nap!
Later in the afternoon I picked up Cole and Brooklin and headed to the zoo! Kasey and Meridee met us up there and we also ran into Chrissy, her mom and kiddos. I have to admit, I was not too impressed with the zoo. I remember it being so cool when I was a kid but a lot of the exhibits were closed and all the animals were sleeping. I was pretty bummed out but the kids had a good time.
After the zoo we grabbed dinner and went back to gma's so Cole and Brooklin could play on grandma's playground!

On Sunday we skipped out on church and went shopping (i know, that's bad but i needed some retail therapy)! We hit the mall and a few stores, the kids were even decent for me. After lunch we went the play with Andrew and Ansley for a couple hours. The kids had a ball playing with all their toys! For dinner we had a bbq at Kathleen and Shane's house, all their kids came over so it was fun to visit with them. Thanks for the great meal and for the little walk around the neighborhood!
Monday we didn't get moving to early. We cleaned up the basement and played out in the rain for a little bit. It was a little coldy while we were up there and I didn't pack a jacket for B so we had to find her one. Before heading home we hit a few more stores and Cafe Rio for lunch. The kids did great in the car and we made it home by early evening!

~Discovery Museum at Gateway~

The kids and I headed north for a much needed break a few weeks ago. We had a blast! We went with no plan and no people to see... just did whatever we wanted. We left on a Thursday and didn't get up there until that evening so we rested up and got ready for our big day.
On Friday we went to the Discovery Museum at the Gateway in Salt Lake. What a fun little place, the kids had a ball. Brooklin's favorite part was the store, the water and the helicopter. Mason loved the water! We stayed there for most of the afternoon and walked around for a bit but it was raining so we didn't shop :( We went back to gma's for a much needed nap. We met up with Kasey, Meridee and Jackson for dinner (note to self... don't go out to eat with Jackson and Mason). Afterwards we stopped at gpa Gene's because Marianne was still in town and leaving the next morning. We had cake and ice cream with them and said our good-bye's. Brooklin was so excited to see Rex and Quinn again along with Ansley!
Brooklin was supposed to have a sleepover with Cole. So I had taken her up to Holly's house later that night and before I had made it back to gma's, Holly had called and said Brooklin was crying for me. So I turned around and brought her home with me. I think she was way past the tired stage cuz she crashed on the way home. It was a busy day but we enjoyed every bit of it!

Fun in the Shark Pool

The kids are loving the nice weather and love being outside in the water! We have a little pool in the backyard that is at the bottom of the slide and these 2 have a hay day... Everytime we go over to my parents the kids think they need to get in the pool. Brooklin is swimming like a fish, no floaties needed!! Mason just likes to squirt the water guns, ride his bike and occasionally jump in the water. They are so fun and I love them so very much!
