Should've went to Lake Powell...
Well are FuN and exciting weekend didn't turn out as planned... We orginally had planned to head to Lake Powell but after a storm on Friday night in Mesquite, a few didn't want to be caught in that at Lake Powell (whimps)! So we headed to Lake Mead, got camp set up and by afternoon we were in a wind storm - at least 15-20 mph winds. So we packed up and came home - 12 hours of not so much fun. We were pretty bummed and yesterday just reminded us why we never go to Mead. Although it was nice to have a hot shower and sleep in my own bed last night but after all the work of getting ready to go, it was the pits to have to come home so soon! We'll shoot for Powell next year :)

Saturday FuN
We headed to Quail Lake for the day - we had a fun day with the Laub's, Memmott's, Ludvigson's and Bohne's. It was pretty rough on the water for most of the day so we stuck with the tube! We went cliff jumping and came back to camp and we had 3 canopy's tipped over and one had completely blown on the other side of the hill. We had a great time and Brooklin's favorite part was catching all the lobsters (little crawdad's, i think)!

*Camping @ EnTerPriSe*
My parents took the kids to Enterprise on Thursday afternoon and the rest of us headed up on Friday evening. The weather was great and we had a nice weekend! Friday night we had drama with sleeping but we survived and made it to the morning... We went for a 4 wheeler ride on Saturday and I got a little wheezy but after some drugs and not riding backwards in the ranger, I was good! It was great that everyone could be there.. the kids loved playing with Jackson and I think we had the 3 dirtiest kiddos around! The boys went out shooting rabbits Saturday night while the girls and kids stayed back and enjoyed the BeSt smores ever.. great job Kirst!!!

What a fun and tired weekend we had.. it started Friday night with Nick and I playing in a softball tourney, we played at 11 and 12 (games were an hour behind schedule). After playing some ball we helped Kirstin move into her new place and finally made it to bed by 3:00 am!
Saturday we got up at 9 and headed to Quail Lake for the day. We had such a blast! My mom brought the kids up along with Kasey, Meridee and Jackson - Ashley & Chaz joined us and later in the afternoon Bohne's and Ludvigson's came out. It was the perfect day to be on the water. We tubed, went water skiing, kneeboarded, went cliff jumping and just hung out on the rocky beach :) We played until 5:30 and decided we better get going since we were playing ball again at 7. My mom took the kids home with her (a BIG thanks for keeping them this weekend) and we played at 7, 8 and 10. Thankfully we lost because I was dead tired.

Saturday FUN!
We started the day off at the pool... Brooklin, Mason, Meridee, Jackson, Kirstin and myself. We swam for a couple of hours and then had some lunch - Mason was done swimming so he opted to watch a movie in grandpa's bed and fell asleep! Brooklin and mom went swimming, long enough to get a nice burn :)
After naptime we headed to the bowling alley for some entertainment! Kasey ended up beating me by 3 pins in the last frame - I choked! He won the big pot of 16 bucks.. Then we grabbed some pizza and went swimming again... I think we had enough swimming for one day!

~Hogle Zoo~
Saturday we babysat Jackson while Kasey and Meridee went to a wedding. Cole had a soccer game in the morning so we headed over to cheer him on... he even scored a goal! Holly took Brooklin with her so the kids could play together for most of the day. I attempted to hit a store with Mason and Jackson - BIG mistake!!! I got half way through the store and decided a might pull my hair out if I try to conquer the entire store, so we went back to gma's for lunch and a nap!
Later in the afternoon I picked up Cole and Brooklin and headed to the zoo! Kasey and Meridee met us up there and we also ran into Chrissy, her mom and kiddos. I have to admit, I was not too impressed with the zoo. I remember it being so cool when I was a kid but a lot of the exhibits were closed and all the animals were sleeping. I was pretty bummed out but the kids had a good time.
After the zoo we grabbed dinner and went back to gma's so Cole and Brooklin could play on grandma's playground!

On Sunday we skipped out on church and went shopping (i know, that's bad but i needed some retail therapy)! We hit the mall and a few stores, the kids were even decent for me. After lunch we went the play with Andrew and Ansley for a couple hours. The kids had a ball playing with all their toys! For dinner we had a bbq at Kathleen and Shane's house, all their kids came over so it was fun to visit with them. Thanks for the great meal and for the little walk around the neighborhood!
Monday we didn't get moving to early. We cleaned up the basement and played out in the rain for a little bit. It was a little coldy while we were up there and I didn't pack a jacket for B so we had to find her one. Before heading home we hit a few more stores and Cafe Rio for lunch. The kids did great in the car and we made it home by early evening!
