We had an AwEsOmE christmas - the kids are at a fun age and they were super excited to see what Santa had left them! We were all spoiled this year for some odd reason... My parents and Kirstin came over to see what Santa had brought the kiddos and then we started making breakfast for the crew! We had both families over to eat and then Teri, Joe and the kids and Robbie stayed the afternoon. We played Guitar Hero, watched movies, visited, ate turkey and played with all the toys. I was beat by the end of the day...we were all ready for bed!
Brooklin got her pink camera with 2 buttons, Hannah Montana guitar hero, leapster games, kung fu panda, shoes, clothes, pop up tent castle, laptop computer (aunt teri), too much stuff!
Mason got a tool bench, fork lift truck, fridge magnet thing, clothes, shoes, cars, doodle board, play animals, too much stuff!
Nick got Motley Crue tickets, Oakleys, clothes, shoes, and guitar hero for the wii!
Steph got spoiled - I got my camera and ipod the other night, a gift certificate to Buckle and Robert's. I also got the wii fit from my mom and dad - now i might have to actually use it!
We had a great Christmas and we are so thankful for everything we were blessed with this year. It's been fun spending time with family and visiting - we have definitely ate way too much food this week!

A few things going on...

Life this week has been quiet with a few changes! Nick was in Baltimore all week for a convention. He was able to head into Washington D.C. for a day of sightseeing - of course he didn't take a camera and only had cheap-o one. He is now home and the kiddos were so excited to see him.

I on the other hand had an eventful week. I left my job at Mesa View PT and started working with another company in town, Virgin Valley PT. I just needed a change and I'm really excited to get going with the home health! Change is good, right? I will miss everyone at MVPT but I'm working with a great new group of people which I'm hoping I get to know better!

The kids have been keeping busy with life. Brooklin is doing gymnastics twice a week and I think loving it. Mason wants to be doing something but he just runs wild! We are getting ready for the upcoming events:
#1 the girls (mom, kirst, brooklin and myself) are headed to Disneyland next weekend. Sooooooo excited for this!!!!!
#2 halloween
#3 Thanksgiving in Utah
#4 Black Friday :)

We have also learned that my Grandpa Winters has lung cancer. We are keeping him in our thoughts and prayers! We love him so much and just want him to be comfortable and happy. Here's a pic of the kids with Great Grandpa Winters in June 2008.

Here's a couple pics of the kids I took today before church. Mason looks so grown up in his long sleeve, buttoned shirt! Of course, I can't get both kids to look at the camera at the same time :)

We finally went CAMPING! Brooklin has been begging my dad to go camping and we headed to cooler weather over the weekend. We stayed at Yankee Meadows (just out of Parowan) and it was beautiful. My mom and dad took Brooklin with them on Thurs. night and Kasey, Meridee, Jackson, Mason and myself went up Friday evening. We went up to the resevoir so Brooklin and Mason could fish (with no bait or hook)! Brooklin got really good at casting her own princess line! Mason was just happy to be out there getting dirty!
Saturday we went 4 wheelin a bit and played in the stream which was freezing. Kasey got a ticket for having Mason on the 4 wheeler without a helmet (what a bad mom I am - no helmet). We headed for home around 3 since we were banned from the 4 wheelers!
It was so nice to just be away and out of the heat. It was so peaceful and somewhat relaxing - not with 2 kids to chase around. Thanks mom and dad for going camping - we had a wonderful time!!!

Our Famous Grandpa Gene

Last night on ESPN Classic they were showing old boxing matches and it just happened to be Gene Fullmer vs. Carmen Basilio for the NBA Middle Weight Title. Anyhow, I told Brooklin to come see who was on tv and I told her that was Grandpa Gene when he was younger. She was hilarious -- she was cheering and really getting into the whole boxing/punching thing. She kept saying, "That's my Grandpa Gene punching that guy."
It is kind of surreal that he was this famous boxer years ago. It's a lot of fun to go into a resturaunt with him and just look at everyone else point and say "that's Gene Fullmer." It's pretty cool to know that's your grandpa!!!
We love you Grandpa and we're so proud of all your accomplishments! You are such a wonderful example of a hardworker, kind, giving, thoughtful, person whom we love so very much.

The Wii

We introduced Grandpa Gene and Grandma Karen to the Wii this past week! It took Grandpa a few tries to get the hang of it but he caught on and bowled a 161 his first time. Then we had to try the boxing to see if the former Middle Weight Champion could keep up on the wii. Well he had perfect form but not too many punches were thrown (we just did the training bag). Of course, Brooklin showed us all up! She is becoming quite the pro and wings that ball down the lane and whoops it up when she bowls a StRiKe or BeAtS you!
