15 months

My little man was 15 months old on the 21st. I can't believe how time is flying by, almost time for another! (Just kidding) Anyhow this is more for my journaling but this is what Mason is doing:
*says ma-ma, da-da, moo (for cow), that's about it!
*likes to scream a high pitch squeal when he doesn't get his way
*loves his baths
*starting to eat by himself, although it's a mess afterwards
*likes eating grapes, noodles, cereal, yogurt, popcicles, anything you put in front of him.
*starting to enjoy the water when we go swimming
*loves reading books, playing with balls or trucks
*loves being outside even if it's 110 degrees!
*takes 2 naps usually 2-3 hours long
*gives open mouth kisses, the best!
*still has his thing with shoes (my little guy)
*after his is done eating he'll push his high chair to where it goes.
*he loves pointing at cousin Jackson's picture

Mason is starting to copy everything Brooklin does. He is so sweet and you can't help but love him to pieces! He is my little monster and he brings so much joy into my life.

The joys of sick kiddos

Since Thursday Brooklin has been running a fever between 100-103 degrees and coughing, runny nose... all that fun stuff. I've been giving her meds and hoping it will just go away. She missed school on Thursday and she has been lying around all weekend looking just like this. She has those sad little puppy dog eyes!
Mason is just cutting teeth, I think. He really hasn't had a fever but his nose is running and he is starting to cough now.
I swear my kids are sick every 6 six weeks -- I don't know what the deal is. We don't go out that much for them to get sick... Anyhow, this is how our weekend has gone!

What a wonderful man...

It has been a week since our beloved President Hinkley has passed away. He was 97 years old and passed away in his home last Sunday evening. It has been a great experience watching all the documentaries on this great man. I didn't realize what marvelous things he has been involved in with the church. I loved watching him speak, he was so full of life and showed his great spirit and personality everytime he spoke.
I can remember when I was going to school at BYU-Hawaii and he came over for a devotional. The place was packed and it was such a privilege to hear him speak.
He will be missed greatly by a number of people but we can't help think of where he is now. A better place with his adorable wife and those who have gone on before him. I 'm sure that was a lovely reunion!! We will miss you President Gordon B. Hinkley!

This is for everyone freezing in the snow...

I just wanted to let everyone know what a beautiful day it is in Mesquite! I think it's about 60 degrees and sunny. We spent the afternoon outside with the kids - Brooklin riding her new bike, Mason in the wagon and Nick working on his orange crush (1971 Ford truck). Mason loves to swing so I took a couple pics of this cutie patootie!!! This is for everyone freezing in the snow -- it's so nice here, we're wearing our shorts today!!!

We'll miss you, Charmaine!!!

Charmaine went to heaven today -- this was the dog at my parents house which Brooklin just adored. She was acting real weird today when I took the kids over, she wouldn't play with Brooklin or take a treat from her which is very unusual. My dad took her to the vet to see what was wrong and they decided to put her too sleep. She was an old doggy!! Brooklin just kept saying, "Poor Charmaine, poor Charmaine." She knew that she was sick and grandpa took her to the doctor. Brooklin knows she went to heaven and she is up there with Jesus and Kathleen's pretty bird! It's amazing how well little kids are aware of what happens when someone or something passes on... Charmaine will be missed by Brooklin, Mason and all the swimming lesson kiddos!!!!

My little girl

I just wanted to post a birth picture and a recent picture of Brooklin since her birthday was yesterday! She has grown so much and has quite the little attitude! (I wonder where she gets that from) We love you Brooklin...

Today is Brooklin's 3rd birthday -- how time flies. I can't believe what a little lady she has become these last few months. Some of the stuff she says and comes up with just cracks me up! She has brought so much joy into our home and brightens my day the second she wakes up. Brooklin is so busy and always wants to know what's going on with everyone -- she's very caring, loving, helpful, independent, full of life, energetic, the list could go on and on. Brooklin we love you so very much and we are so blessed to have you in our little family. Keep being who you are and stay happy!!!
