Mason is such a funny kid, he's all boy! He can be so sweet and the next minute my wild child. He makes me laugh on a daily basis and can always bring a smile to my face!
He's starting to talk much better and he wants to do everything Brooklin does. Here's a few facts about Mason (more for my sake):
*loves to be outside on his bike
*loves to eat everything, even his veggies
*loves to brush his teeth
*loves watching movies - his fav at the moment: flushed away, madagascar 2, toy story
*loves mickey mouse club house
*loves his monkey george
*loves wearing his orange crocs
*loves teasing his sister

Mason is such a joy and I'm so blessed to have him as my little guy. I love you Mason!

Living at the PooL

I think the rec center has been our second home this summer! We are there dang near everyday or night. The kids love swimming and going down the big slide and just recently jumping off the diving board. As of this week, Mason is now swimming (2 1/2 yrs) just like his sister was at his age. This is very exciting because he hasn't been too interesting in trying, he wasn't afraid to put his face in but he didn't want to learn. It must have clicked because he started jumping off the board to me and then he'll swim to the edge. He has made his momma proud this week :) Way to Go Mason!!!!

My LittLe GuY...

is getting soooo BiG! I haven't been strict with potty training Mason but he's starting to use the potty more and more. At first he would sit on the toilet and now he's a big boy and can stand. It just cracks me up every time I see him doing it... he has the whole holding thing, shaking it when he's done thing down!! Good job Mason :) Don't you just love the tan line???

The Big Bash!

We had a great day celebrating Mason's birthday! Mason had a present waiting for him when he woke up and when he saw his Batman Scooter his expression was "WooooW!" He cruised around in the house and outside all morning long on that thing.
We headed up to the Pizza Factory for lunch and we had quite the crew with us.. Grandma, Auntie Kirst, Kasey, Meridee, & Jackson, Shane, Kathleeen, & Skylee, Jeremy, Chrissy, Ethan, Sam & Ava all came to help celebrate! Mason got a #2 pizza and we all enjoyed pizza, salad and breadsticks. Then we were off to the park which had a little lazy river, rocks to climb on and water fountains. The kids were soaking wet and in heaven.. even though it was a bit chilly! We opened presents and ate brownies!

I can't believe my little man is turning 2! He's so energetic and definitely ALL BOY! He brings so much happiness into our family and lots of "big-lip" kisses. He is so sweet yet can hold his own when someone is picking on him. Mason is quite adventurous and will test his climbing and jumping skills. Mason is still not talking much but is trying to say a few more words than just mom and dad. Here are a few more things about Mason...
*Loves being outside, riding bikes/scooters
*Loves going for rides on Grandpa's Ranger
*Is a huge tease
*Has the longest eyelashes
*Eats almost anything you put in front of him.. loves salad!

Mason finally got a haircut!

My little monster finally got his haircut and now he looks like a little man! He's so handsome :)

Sleepy Boy!

21 month check up (is there such a thing?)

21 month check up for Mason.... I know I'm a bad mom, I skipped on the 15 and 18 month immunizations so I thought I better get him in!
Here are his stats at 21 months:
Height: 34 inches
Weight: 29 lbs
Head Cir: 19 inches
He was in the 75% of both height and weight - so he isn't that big of a boy!!! The dr was concerned that he isn't talking or saying more 2 syllable words. So we are taking him to the audiologist on Tuesday to get his hearing checked. I really haven't been too concerned with this because I've been told boys take a little longer and he's able to follow commands when we tell him to do something. Hopefully everything is okay and he will start talking soon!

18 months

So, another month has gone by and my little guy is another month older! Mason is the biggest tease and I just LoVe him to pieces! Some new things he is doing this month:
*He can go to nursery by himself now!
*He is wanting to sit on the potty every time someone uses it.
*He cleans his plate at meal time - heathly eater!
*Still not talking much
*Likes to hide when someone comes home - #1 spot is under the kitchen table.
*LoVeS going for 4 wheeler rides - knows how to turn the key on the 4 wheelers (my dad was wondering why he always had a dead battery, Mason)!
*Still gives the best kisses
*Goes to sleep between 8-8:30pm and wakes up 7-7:30am, saying mom or dad over and over! Usually only has one nap 2-3 hours long.
*He is a growing boy! Wearing 6 or 7 shoe, 2T shirts and 18 mo pants, size 4 diaper.
*Mason can identify his eyes, nose and tongue (rolls his tongue)!

Are You Ready for Some FoOtBaLL?

Well, I have to admit that I'm not too fond of this time of year.... football, football, and some more football. Nick is pumped up for fantasy football, college football, little kids football.... I don't quite understand the excitement!
Anyhow, we've been going to the high school games which are fun and a good social outing for me! Brooklin loves cheering and watching the dancers - Mason just ran around the first week so I left him home this past week.
So tonight Da BeArS were playing (actually winning, I think) so we had to bust out the jersey for Mason to wear. It must have been good luck because they WoN!
Nick is also coaching a 3rd grade team and they had there first game Sat. and won 6-0. I guess I better get use to this time of year because there's no getting out of football season around this house!

17 months

This is more for my benefit so I don't forget what my little monster was doing at 17 months!!! Mason is such a sweetie but he runs me ragged some days.. not much has changed with him in a months time.
*added 2 words to his vocabulary - GO and HI!
*can follow directions and his a huge help with cleaning up
*eating independently all the time
*No more bottle at nap/bedtime - drinking his milk from a sippy
*wearing 2T tops and 18-24mo bottoms, almost in 2T bottoms
*wearing size 4 diapers
*he has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth
*making the transition into one nap a day, which is killing me!
*loves playing with trucks and making noises
*plays with sister pretty good
*is the biggest tease
*loves to get in the pool with everything on
*still gives the BeSt open mouth kisses
*climbs out of his crib successfully!
*has been going to nursery illegally but does great, especially during singing time!
*loves the 4 wheelers

I'm so blessed to have this little boy in my life - he brings so much joy and happiness to me! I love him so much even if he drives me crazy some days. He's so full of energy and has the BeSt smile around! I love you Mason...

Anyone for Apricot Bread?

So much to write about these past couple of days... we are so exciting! We stopped at my mom's today and she was in the process of making apricot bread. It was all poured nicely in the bread tins, sitting on the counter, waiting to go into the oven. Well Mason seemed to make his way onto the counter and this is what we found... Mason had put his foot in one of the tins and it fit perfectly. He didn't know what to think so he started to cry and he kept looking down and looking at us - like Help Me!
