It's always fun when someone throws their own party... Shannon wanted to go bowling & bingo for her BIG 3-0! We had so much fun!!! Josie beat us at bowling with a 120 :) We had yummy chocolate cake and then headed to bingo!!! Note to self: NEVER get the rainbow, holy cow I don't think I looked up the entire hour. Too busy dobbing! Sadly enough, no one in our group won anything :( But we had a great time and it was fun to visit with everyone!!! Happy Birthday Shannon...

So I'll probably get my butt kicked for posted these pictures but they make me laugh! Us three had played softball together for many years and I lived with Amber for a summer (after we moved to Mesquite, I went back to Utah to play ball). I've had so many great memories with these girls and they'll always be great friends of mine. I've kept in touch with Magaan and seen her off and on but we hadn't seen Amber for years... like 11 or 12! We recently found each other on facebook and started chatting. While I was in Utah last week we planned a lunch date and met at the Skybox. We had a great time catching up with each other and reminiscing about the good ole days!!!! It was so fun seeing you girls, can't wait for the next time...

So... I've seen these cute little notebook purses on a few blogs so I thought I'd give it a try! They were pretty easy and I learned a few things after making the first one. I need to make a longer handle on Brooklin's but for the first go around, I was pleased.
I made them so they would have their own notebook for church - they won't be fighting over who gets what!

Last night Chrissy and I, along with every teenager in St. George headed to the Parachute and Secondhand Serenade concert. It was outside at the Dixie Sunbowl and we had a great time! We got up there early so we could do a little shopping and eat at Cafe Rio (for the 3rd time this week)! Thanks for going with me Chrissy, it was a blast :)

SuRpriSe... it's a PaRTy!

Nick got 2 thumbs up on Friday night for pulling off a sweet surprise party for me. I guess it had been in the works for about a month or so and I had no idea... I started getting a bit suspicious but really not sure what was going on. It was at Wolf Creek and he went all out... balloons, cake, lots of FuN people and the best ribs around - what more can a girl ask for when she's turning the big 3-0!
I'm going to list the people who attended just so I have it for myself.. Randon & Christina Potter, Shannon & Rocki Leavitt, Jeremy & Chrissy Woods, Blue & Julz Lee, Chad & Staci Frei, Kyle & Christine Memmott, Rich & Shonde Bohne, Robbie Montoya, Lonnie & Robin Dalton. A well needed weekend...

I've been having car problems and getting the run around with Mesquite Ford so I headed to Park City ALONE! I left Thursday night and stayed at my aunt's house in Wanship. My uncle took my car to the dealership in the morning and I was a lazy girl most of the morning. I finally got ready and headed to the outlets -- no kids + no diaper bag or stroller + time to myself to browse + no temper tantrums + lots of time = LOTS of money well spent :)

After my car got fixed, I headed down to South Jordan. I stayed the next 2 nights at Gma & Gpa Winters house, in the most comfy twin bed ever! It was really nice to visit with them and check on Grandpa. He is doing great - getting dressed, walking around and eating much better than when I last saw him at Thanksgiving.
On Saturday I went to lunch with Gma Karen & Gpa Gene. We also had a nice visit over some yummy lunch and dessert. Afterwards I stopped at the mall to window shop!! Later that night I met up with one of my long lost friends, Magaan. We haven't seen each other for years, it was so nice catching up with her!
Sunday I got the heck out of dodge so I could make it home for the Superbowl... All in all it was a fabulous weekend and a much needed break. I missed the kids but they all survived and my house wasn't a total disaster! Thanks for keeping them in one piece Nick (and mom)!

Black Friday -- Here I Come!!!

This is the day I've been waiting and saving up for all year long!!! I live for this day :) This is the first year I have been to a store, waiting in line by 3:50 am (Utah time). I couldn't sleep the night before cuz I was planning on how my mom and I were going to tackle Target! Anyhow, we started at Kohl's and got what we wanted and was out of there by 4:50am. On to Target by 5 to wait in line until it opened at 6. The plan was for me to hit the electronics and mom to get the Dyson vacuum on sale and meet in the toys. The doors opened and I hit the electronics and got everything we needed and I headed back to toys. I run into my mom and ask if she got the vacuum and she said "I got the last one" I'm thinking "Where is your cart?" Well she left her cart to grab Leapster games and needless to say, it costed her a vacuum. Someone stole it out of her cart!!! She was a ragin momma, on a hunt to find her vacuum.... we left with EvErYtHiNg on our list EXCEPT the vacuum! We hit the rest of our stores and got home around 4pm. It's a good thing we brought 2 trucks because they were loaded!!! I had so much fun but I can only handle that once a year!

Trying to be crafty!

So I totally copied these from Evonne's blog and I thought they were darling... so I tried to make some! My awesome dad even cut and sanded all the blocks for me - Thanks Dad! I made Halloween one's but I gave them all away. Here is the Thanksgiving set I did! Thanks for the cute idea Evonne!!!!

Vegas + Concert + Sister = FUN!!!

My sweet lil sis bought us tickets to see Sara Bareilles last night at the Joint! We headed to Vegas to do a little shopping (surprise, surprise) and then we went to Hard Rock to grab something to eat before the concert. We ended up eating at the Pink Taco and it was delicious!!!
The concert started at 8, she had 2 groups performing before her and she came on around 9:45. She did great and was so cute!!! We got home around 1 from our late night partying!!!
Anyhow, a big THANKS to Kirstin for taking care of your big sis on a FaBuLoUs GirLs NiGhT oUt. I had a great time and we need to do that more often! I love ya :)

We had a FaBuLoUs girls night out this evening! Our special friends from Salt Lake (Valerie & Ashlee) came down and we went to Cher. We ate dinner at La Salsa and it was soooo yummy - no Cheesecake Factory! Then we headed over to the big show... she did great, lots of costume changes. I enjoyed the last half better than the first - she was quite funny! She even sang my fav Cher song "After All" and duet with Peter Cetera from the movie Chances Are. It was a fun little outing with great company! Thanks for having a birthday Valerie so we could help celebrate!!!

I sUrVivEd 1 day & night at CaMp!

I survived a day at girls camp and I'm beat! I don't think I could've lasted the whole week if they stayed up that late each night. I must be getting very old! Anyhow, a few of us left Friday morning at 7 and we got there at 9 so we were ready to go and have fun! Luckily for us it rained and the events got pushed back a day so we were able to enjoy all the activities. Shooting which I'm not very good but I hit 2 in the black, the ZiPLinE was a blast even though the brake man forgot to break. I honestly thought I was going to hit a tree (the pic isn't very good). We saved the best for last... this waterslide was AWESOME, it ROCKED! First I started out not wanting to get my top wet because I only brought one bra but that changed quite quickly when I found out going head first was the ONLY way to go! Mary and I volunteered to stay with both groups because we just couldn't get enough of that darn waterslide. It totally made it worth the trip! I am so bruised and sore from riding this thing - I can't show you the bruises but I'm black and blue on my tail bone, hips, and forearms! Then we had our turn to shower but didn't plan on showering so that made it a little difficult to dry off with NO towel. Luckily I had a golf towel in my bag (Thanks Travis from a few Christmas' ago) - it was quite the site but I was covered in mud and had to get clean! We had a great dutch oven dinner and Mormon Battalion program and followed up with our testimony meeting. Then the fun began up again -- President Hafen and Judge Dodd better watch out! Water fights, wandering around that stinkin' mountain with buckets of water... let's just say I didn't get much sleep but we had a great time!
So THANKS girls for a great day at CaMp - you wore me out! I'm gearing up for next year!

What a wonderful man...

It has been a week since our beloved President Hinkley has passed away. He was 97 years old and passed away in his home last Sunday evening. It has been a great experience watching all the documentaries on this great man. I didn't realize what marvelous things he has been involved in with the church. I loved watching him speak, he was so full of life and showed his great spirit and personality everytime he spoke.
I can remember when I was going to school at BYU-Hawaii and he came over for a devotional. The place was packed and it was such a privilege to hear him speak.
He will be missed greatly by a number of people but we can't help think of where he is now. A better place with his adorable wife and those who have gone on before him. I 'm sure that was a lovely reunion!! We will miss you President Gordon B. Hinkley!
