a final resting place

The day I had been dreading all week was finally here...
Having to say our final good bye's and closing the casket
was something I was not looking forward too.
Frank Layden (former Utah Jazz coach) came through
to pay his respects and he was so cute with all the
great grandkids. He was shaking their hands and asking
what their names were, made them feel real special.

It was time to say our final good byes, I was a complete
mess. It was just so surreal that he was really gone. My kids
were also very emotional, Brooklin especially. She was sobbing
and when you see your child hurting, naturally you hurt for them.
This is really the first death they are old enough to really remember
and process. We all managed to keep it together until Grandma went
to say her final thoughts and my heart was breaking for her.
It was then time to follow the casket into the chapel to proceed
with the service. The program went like this -
Family Prayer: Bart Fullmer
Opening Hymn: Each Life That Touches Ours For Good
Invocation: Sharley Baker
Eulogy: Marianne Newlun and Kaye Winters
Speaker: DeLaun Fullmer
Muscial Number: Families Can Be Together Forever
Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
Speaker: Jay McKee, friend
Musical Number: Heaven Was Needing A Hero
Janet Fullmer, niece
Speaker: Jamie McQueen, friend
Remarks: Bishop Dinkelman
Closing Hymn: Be Still My Soul
Benediction: Zachary Fullmer

Dedication of the Grave: Kasey Winters
10 Count Bell: Cody Fullmer, nephew

Pallbearers:
Delaun, Bart, Mike, Rick, Kasey
Zachary, Quinn, Brett

Honorary Pallbearer:
Rex Newlun

Grandpa was such a big deal around West Jordan he
had a police escort to the cemetery in South Jordan.
He fought in the Korean War and the color guard did
an amazing job with their presentation.
