Our favorite weekend of the year has come and gone -
and it went by way too quickly this year!
We weren't sure if we were going to make the trip
this year cuz the boat was in the shop for a month
and didn't know if it would be finished.
I told Nick I need to know by Tues so I can
shop and get everything together....
He was able to pick it up Wed morning and
we got everything loaded and ready to head
out bright and early Thurs morning!!!!
Lake Powell is beautiful and one of my
favorite places on earth... it's so amazing,
peaceful and relaxing! Can't really go wrong with
sun, sand, water, and awesome scenery!
We found an awesome camp site in Padre Bay with a great beach.
It did rain on us the first 2 nights but it cooled it
down and it made for an adventure!
The kids lived on the tubes and once in awhile
would try the knee board and the last day gave
the wakeboard a try!!! We went cliff
jumping, sight seeing and found a great little
hike up Wetheral Canyon! A few of us tried
surfing on the paddle board behind the boat...
didn't really work but it was fun trying!
I did find a new obsession with the paddle board -
I loved those things!!! So relaxing to just take off
and enjoy the water.. Wish we lived closer to water
so I could use them daily!
This will be picture overload but it's ok cuz
it's my journal and I want to remember our
fun and fabulous weekend!!!
