LoVin' LaKe PoWeLL

What a FABULOUS few days we spent in Lake Powell! We left Thurs morning (12th), stopped in St. George to pick up Kirstin & Amy and headed for the lake. We got out there and tried finding a spot in a canyon but the houseboats had taken over... so we found a nice sandy beach on the main channel and it was perfect for our crew! We just set up camp and ate dinner and messed around a little bit before going to bed.

On Friday we checked out a few of the canyons -- Mountain Sheep Canyon, we went cliff jumping and had lunch here. We stopped at Dangling Rope Marina for ice cream and gas then made our way to Rainbow Bridge! Mason was excited to get there but when he saw the bridge he just asked, "Where's the rainbow???" On our way back to camp we stopped at Cathedral Canyon and did some more cliff jumping and fishing. We stopped at Dangling Rope again for ice and topping off with gas before heading for camp! Kirstin was the Queen Smore Maker this night - she is the bomb diggity!

Saturday we hit West Canyon, in hopes to find a waterfall but no such luck! The water was glass today so I finally decided to try skiing! I got up for my 30 sec and proved to myself I could still get up.

Sunday we did some last minute skiing, tubing before packing up and heading home. We had a total of 3 flat tires on the way home - Trent had 2 and we got one.

We had so much fun and will take advantage of being close to Lake Powell! I love that place, it's a little piece of heaven on water :)
