dairy days...

We were invited to play in a softball tourney in Gunnison, UT for Dairy Days this past weekend. It was pretty fun - we left Fri after Brooklin's triathlon and made it just in time for the first game. Our team wasn't the best but we had fun!!! We played 2 games Fri and watched fireworks then headed to the Gunnison Inn for bed. Saturday we played 2 games and lost out... I got recruited by another team and they lost out then I played with another team and they won the tourney - 7 games later and I end up with a dairy days shirt!!!
The kids had a blast just running around, playing on the bounce houses and slipping slides, petting the cute little animals, looking at tractors and participating in the boot races. The kids also went on a tour of the dairy and thought it was pretty cool.  Brooklin also milked a cow but didn't get a pic :( We stayed for milk can stew dinner that night and then headed home. We were exhausted but it was a nice weekend... Thanks Ludvigson's for the invite :)

Brooklin's 1st grade Triathlon

Friday was one HOT day
and it was the day of the triathlon.
Brooklin was ready to go, she had a new
swimming suit on and her cheering section
was there to cheer her on!!!
(thanks Gma, Gpa, Mason, Dad & Mom)
I felt so bad watching these kids run
out in the heat - I was dripping with sweat and
I was just standing there!!!
She did the run and the poor girl runs like
her mom (slow) but she made up time
with the scooters and the swim!!!
She came in 6th place and we
are so proud of her!
You did awesome Brooklin!!!!

Cedar Mountain

The kids have been wanting to go camping and my parents headed to Cedar Mountain for the weekend... Well Saturday the kids and I headed up to join them! Nick was going to come up Sunday but it was cold and we weren't going on any long rides in the ranger because none of us went prepared for it being freezing!!!
The kids had fun, we did go on a couple little rides and saw some deer and wild turkeys. We took the truck to the ice cave and Mammoth Caves, Mason was ready to hike down in and go through the caves (Mom wasn't up for that adventure this time)!
Thanks for letting ruin your quiet weekend mom and dad - we had a blast!!!!
