Happy Mama's Day

My parents were so nice to drive down from St. George for our 8 am church to listen to the kids sing! I wasn't sure if Mason would go up cuz he was quite grumpy but he did a great job. After church we headed home and hung out for a bit until Nick got home. My mom and I had made an executive decision that niether of us were going to cook so we headed to Wolf Creek for lunch. I made a dessert which we ate afterwards.
The kids were so excited to see me wear the necklace Mason had made and Brooklin made a ladybug pin for me. They gave me cards and a bracelet. Nick got me a video camera so I don't look like I'm holding an antique one anymore!
I'm so thankful for my mom and the example she is to me. I know my family wouldn't survive without all of her help! I love you MoM... And I'm so thankful for the other women in my life - grandma's, aunts, cousins, friends and a sister who have played an important role in my life. I have learned so many wonderful things from each of you.
And I'm so grateful for Brooklin and Mason - they are the joy in my life. They make me smile each day and make me want to pull my hair out too! They are my world and I am so blessed they chose me to be their mama!

iron man festivities

Saturday we headed to St. George to check out the Iron Man competition and find some Biggest Loser contestants!!! Kirstin had to help in a Zumba segment so we watched her shake it, even Mason joined in the fun. We watched some of the cyclists ride by and cheered them on! The kids spotted the rock wall, trampoline and surfing thing so they did that for a bit and ended at the splash pad! It was a nice, hot day :)

**MeSquiTe DaYs**

Mesquite Days have come and gone for another year! This year we ended up going every night - i don't recommend it! The kids loved it, Brooklin got brave this year and went on all the big kid rides except the kamikaze! We found lots of friends to go on rides with but I only took my camera one day.  Nick and I even got suckered going on the Tornado with the kids. First Nick went and the kids wanted to go again so I went and had to close my eyes the entire time cuz I was sick!

~muffins with moms~

On Thursday I had an invite from one cute little guy to attend a Muffins for Moms party!!! It was so cute and the little kiddos were so proud to have us there. We ate muffins and water or capri suns and listened to Miss Kendra read questionaires the kids filled out. Here was mine, answered by Mason:
fav color: purple (right)
best thing i make: pancakes (I can make a mean pancake)!
hair color: black (not sure what mom he was looking at)
he loves me just because and if he could buy me anything it would be: ??? (can't remember what he said)
Then all the kids sang the My Little Bumblebee Song and another Mother's Day song. Then we got our darling little presents --- a sweet necklace! I had to wear mine all day until softball practice then Mason told me to take it off so I wouldn't get it dirty!
I love you Mason and I'm so blessed to be your Mom! You brighten my day with your little grin and your mischevious ways! You are still a mama's boy and I'll keep it that way as long as I can :)

Bowling in PE

Brooklin has been super excited about being able to go bowling for PE. I think she was more excited cuz she had to ride the bus to get to the bowling alley! Mr. Durbin is very brave to have the entire kindergarten at the bowling alley at one time! It was crazy in there but everyone seemed to have a blast! It was cosmic bowling and they had music playing.

poor mason had a belly ache and fell asleep like that :(

let's go fly a kite...

It's been rather windy here in Mesquite (it beats getting dumped on by snow)! The kids got kites for Easter and have been begging to fly them. Nick took them out on Saturday and then we went out again today.. Both of them did a great job but only last about 20 mins and then they're bored!
